"The Beginning is Always Today"

I feel strange about starting a blog.

In some ways it's really exciting. When I made the blog header it was like building Ikea furniture: "It took me five hours BUT I DID IT MYSELF". I was incredibly proud. But on the other hand I'm struggling with pre-emptive embarrassment, as though I'm going to invite all my friends round to dine on my new table that I've been bragging about only for them to see it's not level.

It's this fear that has always stopped me from creating my own blog, that keeps me constantly saying things like "I'll start it tomorrow".Which is crazy considering I'm someone who happily pairs stripes and spots, and considers leopard print a neutral. Why can I walk down the street dressed in whatever I want, but can't upload a picture and say that I love what I'm wearing?   

Well, I've decided: today is finally the beginning.

Shirt- Primark, Trousers- ASOS, necklace- Forever 21, choker- vintage

It isn't my boldest look by a long shot, but I can't resist a bit of pajama dressing. I'm a big believer that you can dress any outfit up with a necklace or two, even if said outfit is most often spotted in duty free. Being comfortable doesn't mean sacrificing style, or playing it safe.

And hey, every journey should begin in comfort. Even if you're not leaving your bedroom.
